Soyeon Ahn

Associate Professor in The School of Digital Humanities and Social Sciences, Adjunct Professor of Computer Science, KAIST

Dr. So-Yeon Ahn joined KAIST in 2020 and is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Digital Humanities and Social Sciences and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Computer Science. From 2018 to 2020, she worked at the Department of English, City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include language teacher and learner identity, multimodality, language play, and intercultural communication competence. Currently, she is collaborating with KT to study human and AI counselor conversations based on discourse analysis to analyze communication barriers and improvements. In addition, she is currently conducting research on English education technology and platform development using large-scale language model (LLM) technology with Elice, an educational practice platform company.
